Rating: - Daniel Craig Melts my Ice!
Good news, since it is a BBC Mobile Masterpiece Theatre production, I found it at my local library and it is also available at a website called the public video store. I encourage you to seek it out as the plot contains real character arcs and it has an excellent cast. Pre-Bond (and ever-so attractive) Daniel Craig is just excellent as Sergeant McLoughlin, a somewhat alcoholic policeman whose wife has recently left him. The sergeant develops a rather pervy attraction for one of the three (possibly ... Read More
Rating: - The Chilling Abyss of the Human Soul
'The Ice House' is a truly remarkable venture, both in terms of plot and of characterization.
As far as the slowly unfolding plot is concerned, the film is second to hardly any of the British (TV) mysteries of past years such as 'Inspector Morse', 'Silent Witness', 'Inspector Lynley' etc.

Rating: - A gripping, fantastic mystery.

Rating: - Just when you think you've got it figured out
You find that everyone has their own motive and there is lots of tension in this Susan Minot novel adaptation. I loved the book and the movie wasn't disappointing. The old manor house and the characters are the stuff of a great British mystery.
Rating: - BBC Who-Dun-It
Murder mystery revolving around an abusive husband who disappears ten years earlier. An obsessed detective is convinved the wife did it but cannot prove it without the body...which was never found. An unidentifable corpse is found buried on the premises in an overgrown ice house. A BBC who-dun-it. Well done with a good twist.
