Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
Jim Carrey is back in top form after his disastrous outing in The Cable Guy. As a lawyer who becomes physically unable to tell a lie for 24 hours after his son makes a magical birthday wish, Carrey learns a few brutal truths about the real meaning of life. There is very little plot, but Carrey's rubbery contortions and slapstick trickery provide just enough humor to keep you interested in this breezy bit of escapism. Not aided in this film by pets or animation, Carrey manages to do amazing and unique things with very simple props. He is also more in control of his acting than before. He is still over the top, but remains believable in some of the lower-energy scenes. An added plus is that the comedy is not as coarse as we've come to expect from him. --Rochelle O'Gorman

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - The truth and nothing more the truth!
A famous and successful lawyer accustomed to lie as part of his profession, will be tested by his own son, who requests him just one detail: To tell the truth for just one day.

That cruel fact will make this lawyer assumes the price for being sincere with all the predictable consequences.

Funny metaphor that will delight you, although since the middle of the film the initial impact be lessening.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - An Awesome Film!!!
Jim Carrey is awesome and extremely hilarious as a lawyer named Fletcher Reede, who lies constantly to his son, his co-workers, and at court. When he doesn't show up for his son, Max's 5th birthday, Max makes a wish that for a whole day, his dad couldn't lie. Throughout the whole next day, Fletcher tries to lie, but he can't. When he tells the truth, it sometimes get him into trouble. If you love comedy, and Jim Carrey, you'll love LIAR LIAR!!!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Silly, silly fun.
Liar Liar starring Jim Carrey was another hit for the mega star. His pyshical comedy is evident in this comedy, he just knows how to work his face and body. This film isn't perfect but it's fun and harmless. Enjoy!

This review is for the HD DVD version:
Liar Liar is my favorite Jim Carrey film, sure his other films are funny but this is a mature comedy for adults.Jim Carrey is a genius at physical comedy and this film shows off his talent. My favorite scene is where Samantha introduces Jim Carrey to the firm's board of directors,I still bust a gut when he slaps the toupe on the wall.
The picture quality on the HD DVD is slightly grainy but the color and contrast are excellent. The HD DVD also has lots ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Still Fun To Watch!
Like Dumb and Dumber, this movie is still funny and fun to watch. While not as masterful as Dumb and Dumber, Liar Liar is a great comedy to own. I popped this in because my 5 year old daughter LOVES Bruce Almighty, so we have been going through the Jim Carrey classics. He is her favorite actor and I can't blame her. The guy is a riot! I think it's great that I can now enjoy Jim Carrey movies with my child and we are both highly entertained. Now I'd just like to see him get back to the over the top antics ... Read More
