Description:
Two dangerously mismatched convicts are thrown into a wild race to outwit, outrun and outgun vicious enemies on both sides of the law in this high-impact thriller bristling with high-speed adventure,mind-blowing stunts and nonstop action! After escaping from a prison chain gang, Piper (Laurence Fishburne) and Dodge (Stephen Baldwin) find themselves handcuffed togetherand at each others' throats! Relentlessly hunted through the Georgia wilderness, the reluctant allies fight their way into the underground of Atlanta, battling the authoritiesand each otherall the way. But when Dodge'sconnection to $25 million in stolen loot attracts mob assassins and corrupt government officials, the action is propelled into a deadly new dimension. With no place to hide, and everything to lose, Piper and Dodge embark on a blazing, take-no-prisoners quest to secure the key to their survival: a computer disk that could blow the lid off of a high-level scam.

Amazon.com:
In the road-movie-reluctant-pals genre, Fled goes down a road well-taken and still manages to get lost. Defiant ones Piper (Laurence Fishburne) and Dodge (Stephen Baldwin) escape from their chain gang when a prison break/shootout begins. Evading rednecks and faceless policemen they make it to Atlanta where 'smart-ass' Dodge (who delivers one-liners that do a disservice to smart-asses everywhere) has to recover a computer disk. They are aided and abetted by Cora (Salma Hayek--this time using a funny hat, instead of her breasts, for character development), who takes the convicts in as if she were picking up college buddies from the airport. Maybe she realizes what great guys these prison-garbed buffoons are. They donate money to charity. They save dying rednecks. They rescue little boys from oncoming cars. Unfortunately, they can't save any of Dodge's old associates, like his stripper-with-an-apartment-of-gold girlfriend or his fellow computer hacker, from getting shot up by Cuban Mafia thugs that want that disk! Laurence Fishburne is the main reason to see the film, but that's a stretch, and Stephen Baldwin seems nothing like the same searing actor seen in The Usual Suspects. --Keith Simanton

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - the night life of Atlanta, Georgia
Fled DVD

Fled, starring Laurence Fishburne and Stephen Baldwin, is about a convict and his just met on the chain gang buddy fleeing through the back woods of Georgia. Has some great shots of the night life of Atlanta, Georgia where all the girls are pretty and the guys are studs.

Recommended for fans of Laurence Fishburne and Stephen Baldwin and the City of Atlanta.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Typical mismatched buddy/cop formula film
This film received quite a bit of attention in Atlanta in the summer of 1996 because it was shot on location and features Atlanta, and my hometown of Stone Mountain, in a starring role that is all too rare for our city. So, seeing it in theaters back then was surreal, because the residents of this city aren't used to seeing it on the big screen, with famous actors playing their assigned roles. The best scenes in this film take place at the Georgia Dome in a shoot-out during a crowded dirt bike ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fun all the way
This is the movie that got me into the world of Ducati Motorsports. The Ducati 916s that they ride are simply some of the best machines ever made. A great and fun movie overall. Great dialog, good action, and awesome motorcycle scenes. The only thing I find hard to believe, but is prevelant in all movies with chase scenes, is that the stupid Lincoln can keep pace with the 916. Now, unless the Lincoln has Nitrus and a blower, it ain't gonna happen! Besides that, an awesome movie!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - EXPLOSIVE ALL ACTION MOVIE

Its all action near enough from the word go but its compelling from beginning to end with its fast, furious dialogue and great performances from its two leading stars, Lawrence Fishbourne and Steven Baldwin as two escaped convicts who are chained together through there wild adventures. Lots of great thrills throughout!! Highly ... Read More
