This cute movie by William Dear stars John Lithgow as a family man who befriends a Sasquatch (a.k.a. Bigfoot) and brings the friendly monster's oversized, hairy self into his Seattle home. Mayhem and comedy ensue, but things take a heavier turn when a hunter (David Suchet) gets on the creature's trail. Everything hinges on the relationship between Lithgow's character and Harry (the Sasquatch), and that relationship is really quite effective and touching. Don Ameche is a hoot as an old guy who has dreamed of meeting Bigfoot all his life and finally gets the glorious chance. --Tom Keogh

Rating:  - i have waited for YEARS for this to come out in DVD!!!
this is one of the greatest feel-good movies i have ever seen... great for adults and children (though the beginning would probably be scary for very young ones). believable characters (the cast is superb), terrific story, and a great message. i'm making sure that all my grandchildren have a copy. a real sleeper-- highly recommended!!!

Rating:  - Harry is a good hearted family film
This is one of many movies made during a time when Hollywood was trying to make some family friendly movies. Movies like Beethoven, Honey I Shrunk the kids, Little monsters, batteries not included, etc. They were all for the most part successful in there purpose, to create family entertainment.
