Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
Elvis Presley does the clam--a now-forgotten dance--in this 1964 potboiler in which the King stars as a singer who gets a gig in Ft. Lauderdale with his combo but has to baby-sit a mobster's teenage daughter (Shelley Fabares) as part of the deal. Fabares's character, looking for a break, runs wild and makes life difficult for Elvis. The film has the usual 'Elvis movie' bounce and wolfish jokes and glossy disposability, but the endearing (and smart) presence of Fabares as the love interest adds a bit more zip than usual. Songs include the title track, plus 'Puppet on a String,' 'Do Not Disturb,' and 'Let's Party Tonight.' Directed by Boris Sagal (The Omega Man). --Tom Keogh

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Loved the music, the chemistry, favorite Elvis movie
I am thrilled that I purchased this DVD. If you are an Elvis fan, you can't go wrong. Some of the acting is bad, but that is in about every movie the man made. But it is fun, light music, who else can get away with picking up a guitar & just start playing it for no reason. Elvis is the only one in my book, except for Chris Isaak (who comes in second).

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Girl Happy starring Elvis Presley
I am collecting all of Elvis's movies on DVD. This one is not my favorite but it good none the less. If you are an Elvis fan like me, you should get it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Can't go wrong with the King
Have you ever seen a bad Elvis movie? This is one of our favorite Elvis movies of all time. We love watching this movie and wanted a copy of our own. The DVD came with some postcard pictures inside with Elvis and the cast/crew. They are a great keepsake to have. I would definitely tell anyone to purchase this movie for their collection.Girl Happy

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Elvis, Shelley And Florida...
For Elvis Presley's serious side in movies accompanied by music, it's "Jailhouse Rock", "King Creole" and "Roustabout". In the lighthearted catagory it's "Viva Las Vegas" and "Girl Happy". Shelley Fabares was Elvis finest leading lady this side of Ann-Margret. They had uncanny on screen chemistry. Elvis and Shelley also looked like a couple. "Girl Happy" is a product of Spring Break in Florida during the 1960's. Elvis and his buddies are hired to secretly watch over Shelley Fabares during her ... Read More
