Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
Most critics couldn't get behind Bill Murray's modern retelling of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, finding it too unfocused at times and not nearly wicked enough. Still, if you're a Murray fan, you have to enjoy his deliciously nasty portrayal of the world's meanest TV executive, who has his cathartic moment one cold Christmas night in New York City. The various ghosts lead him on a ghost-town tour of Manhattan, with stops at holidays past, present, and future and a Kumbaya moment when Al Green and Annie Lennox sing 'Put a Little Love in Your Heart.' The effects are otherworldly, but one wishes the writing were as sharp as Murray's edgy portrayal. --Marshall Fine

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - YULE LOVE IT!
This movie is the late 1980's adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic and has everything you could ever want in a Christmas movie, laughs, inspiration, nostalgia, this movie has it all!

Frank Cross is the youngest Network President in the history of television and seemingly has everything he could ever want, however, he has lost the kindness and cheer of giving and the meaning of Christmas. Three ghosts are sent to straighten him out and teach him the true meaning of Christmas. The ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A great modern American Christmas movie
4.5 stars

Murray is flat-out perfect here, his first really nasty role and he nails it. Allen is a good foil for him, and there are many excellent twists on Dickens' tale. This may be a little too accurate for some in its portrayal of our materially-obsessed shallow natures, but hey, Jesus would certainly agree.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Scrooged
This is a great Christmas movie! It is a new take on an old favorite that stars Bill Murray. He plays the sharp tongued Frank Cross, and he is really good at being mean. David Johansen was scary as the ghost of Christmas past, Carol Kane was the ghost of Christmas present, and Chaz Conner was the ghost of Christmas future. Carol Kane was a scream, and I am sure Bill Murray had a bruise or two when they finished filming.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent
I love this movie. Its one of the traditional Christmas movies that I watch every year.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Thanks so much
this was a last minute christmas gift and it arrived just in time and in excellent condition. thank you
