Ghostbusters
Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis wrote the script, but Bill Murray gets all the best lines and moments in this 1984 comedy directed by Ivan Reitman (Meatballs). The three comics, plus Ernie Hudson, play the New York City-based team that provides supernatural pest control, and Sigourney Weaver is the love interest possessed by an ancient demon. Reitman and company are full of original ideas about hobgoblins--who knew they could "slime" people with green plasma goo?--but hovering above the plot is Murray's patented ironic view of all the action. Still a lot of fun, and an obvious model for sci-fi comedies such as Men in Black. --Tom Keogh

The two GB movies look very good, good bonus features like extra GB cartoons,cards,slime,statue looks like it could break very easy so keep it away from the little ones and u have to keep the slime in a cool place or it will evaporate quickly.but overall good giftset.

As a collector of such movie memorabelia I was nicely surprized by the quality of this package.
The figurine is very high quality (not cheap plastic) :)
It comes with a nice booklet about the movies. Some echtophlasem and a $25 gift card.
The movies themselves have been relabled for this collectors set. (Not two seperate ordinary dvds packaged together as so many "collector sets" sets are these days.:)

this looks like a standard reissue of the previous double feature set,
except that instead of the commemorative book, you get trading cards,
green slime & a little statue, while paying $16 more..
i have every (region 1) ghostbusters dvd ever released,
but i think ill pass on this double dip
itd be great though if they put out this same package
but with both films on blu ray instead..

Ghostbusters has always been one of my favs! And this DVD release has a been difitally remastered and includes a few newly done scenes! There not brand new scenes or redone completly, the scene is still there, it just has a bit of addition to the end battle with Goza and shows the building a bit more! You wont notcie it really!

These two movies are both, very funny. Peter, Ray, and Eagan both are scientists/doctors who seek out ghost. In none other then New York City but when the ghost start finding them. They get more then what they bargain for.
