Amazon.com: It's been years since Blake Edwards made a funny film, and this 1981 effort may have been one of his last consistent laugh producers. Richard Mulligan plays a Hollywood producer who realizes that his career may be over when the public sees his latest film: a big-budget musical that lands on test audiences with a thud. In a moment of madness, he hits upon the idea of reediting it to include soft-porn reshoots--including a shot of his movie-star wife (Julie Andrews), who has a squeaky clean public image, baring her breasts (which the squeaky clean Andrews actually does). Scathing in its satire of Hollywood numbskullery, the film features terrific performances by Mulligan, Robert Preston, and William Holden (in his last film). --Marshall Fine

Rating: - Hollywood Satire
Blake Edwards at his best. Takes on his own industry and tells it like it is. Rich satire and fantastic acting by Richard Mulligan especially!
Rating: - Just plain funny
Big name cast. depicts what probably goes on in Hollywood. No redeeming fetures, no hidden messages, but if you just want to laugh, this is great
Rating: - One of Blake Edwards Best
I remember seeing this film a long time ago and laughed so much and never forgot it. Not to mention seeing Julie Andrews topless. I love all the actors in this film and am so glad to have this in my gallery of movie comedies. For anyone who likes Blake Edwards movies this is definately one to own.
Rating: - Notes on DVDs purchased
The two DVDs I purchased on Amazon arrived in a timely manner in good shape and I will probably order more in the future. Stephen Allen
Rating: - One of the best films about Hollywood...
This film is one of Blake Edwards's best films, and it's one of the best films ever made about Hollywood. It's filled with some of the most memorable dialogue I've ever heard (my favorite line has to be "you look like 100 pounds of condemned veal"), and it's filled with rich, great performances. Richard Mulligan (a very underrated comic actor) is perfect as Felix, the great producer who's latest film has bombed, which leads to a nervous breakdown. He comes up with the scheme of making his film ... Read More
