Editorial Review:

Description:
Everyone's favorite desert-dwelling mutant cannibals return in this gruesome sequel to the classic drive-in shocker! Years after the original massacre which pitted a suburban family against a band of cave dwellers, traumatized survivors lead a team of dirt bikers back into the wild for a bus expedition. After their vehicle breaks down, the travelers must fend for their lives when the hungry savages (led by spooky Michael Berryman) emerge from the hills in search of dinner! Directed by horror maestro Wes Craven (Scream, A Nightmare on Elm Street), this brutal chiller features shocking highlights from the original film (including the now legendary canine flashback) and an eerie score by 'Friday the 13th's' Henry Manfredini. Vicious, delirious, and outrageous!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Music from Friday the 13 movies
Like everyone else is saying not the best but still entertainig for me.Brings me back to when I first saw it on video way back in 1985 and I enyoed it then prolly more so when I was 10 years old.Now that I bought this for 4.99 I can watch it in another 23 years with a few beers. I have to save 2 of the 5 stars for Mike Berryman which was part of my youth I also remember him from 'Weird Science' as one of the biker subhumans that crash the party. The gore levels pretty good too.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - The definitive bland sequel
I'd be willing to bet that Wes would rather not have this one included in his filmography, but after sitting through this I'm in no mood to let him forget it. The Hills Have Eyes part 2 may very well be the text-book definition of "ineffective sequel". This rather belated follow up to The Hills Have Eyes surfaced around 1985, and it doesn't make much of an effort to hide its many attempts to blend in with the horror trends of the time. With an all teen cast, score by Harry Manfredini, and female ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Story better then the first!
OK, First of all i was extremely dissappointed with the first one. I think the story line and lack of ideal direction in the movie made me question wes craven. This one on the other hand was much better storied and acted. Though i caution to viewers this is a really cheesy (B) movie and if you ,like me find these movies entertaining then you might like it otherwise your better off renting it for a buck at blockbuster first!
