Rating: - excellence
Both Set 1 and Set 2 are fine examples of superb British TV acting and realistic re-creation of period ships, clothing etc. Could not wait for next week's episode when originally aired on PBS. Can't wait for additional sets to be made available

The acting is excellent (5 star) but the quality of the DVD was 3 star.

This is an excellent series, with interesting characters, great atmosphere, and good stuff about ships, the sea and commercial ventures of the period. Beautiful to look at. Very entertaining. The production values on the DVDs are excellent.

Rating: - COSTUME DRAMA AT ITS BEST
This is a magnificently produced series, with wonderfully cast actors, music and direction. Formula soap, with spectacular location footage on the high seas and picturesque English coastlines. Tall ships and romance abounding. Run out and purchase these, sit back, and be transported.
But when, o' when, will BFS release more of the 91 total episodes?!!
