Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
A not-so-innocent parlor game turns deadly in Taboo, a straight-to-video murder mystery that's better than you might expect. It begins on a proverbial dark and stormy night, when six preppy college pals reunite for an all-night ordeal of unexpected mayhem, prompted by the anonymous delivery of five cards bearing labels of shame (prostitute, infidel, homosexual, rapist, hypocrite)... but who fits these accusatory identities, and who sent the damning cards in the first place? One by one, the friends (including Terminator 3's Nick Stahl and American Pie's Eddie Kaye Thomas) fall prey to the killer among them, who psychotically holds a closely guarded secret. This sordid material begs for the relief of black comedy, but director Max Makowski takes it far too seriously. Fortunately, the surprise twist is clever enough to sustain the mystery, and the talented young cast (especially January Jones, as the prime suspect) makes the most of a deeply cynical screenplay. --Jeff Shannon

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Gotta Love Amber Benson
I love Amber Benson and all of her works. Their is such depth of imagination and feeling. A perfect blend of fantasy and reality in my opinion.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Entertaining
I thought this movie was a very entertaining movie. It was boring in some parts and didn't make sense in others but overall it was an ok movie. I am a Nick Stahl fan and really like him as an actor. So, if you are also a Nick Stahl fan I do recommend this movie.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Weak movie with well-known actors
This movie is perhaps the worst flawed film I've seen. I found that I really didn't care about any of the characters except to laugh at their foolishness. While I really dislike the film, the few moments that Amber Benson portrays Piper were humourous. I bought the film because I liked Amber Benson. Long Story short - "Taboo" isn't really a well-made film, so I'd only purchase it If you enjoyed the actors' other works.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Trying to be Conan Doylish?
This is one lousy attempt at recreating a post-Victorian ambience. The formula is taken straight out of a Doyle mystery novel - the dark and stormy night, the mysteriuos package, the anonymous notes. And then you get b-list American actors trying to act serious and menacing and sophisticated. For the record, kids from different socioeconomic levels usually don't mingle. Rich kids don't invite poor kids to their estates.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - so very very bad....
ugh - couldn't even get through 10 minutes of it --- anyone who managed to make money in the production, acting, etc related to this film should be subjected to the placement of their earnings to charity.

I do not know of any words/phrases to describe the horror that is this film

Stupidity on a GRAND scale.
