I purchased this DVD based on the reviews. I am a fan of 80's horror, so I thought this would be a good movie to put in my collection, wrong! It was quite boring, and it was not made as well as say the Friday The 13th series. It has that grainy look, the cheesy music, poor acting and the it's overall a slow movie. Not impressed, it's not scary and it's not funny, it's stupid.
Rating:  - THESE KIDS ARE DEMONS !!!! I WOULD NOT WANT TO GET ON THERE BAD SIDE.
This movie is GREAT.I would recommand this movie to anyone who perfers 80's horror movies over modern.

In BLOODY BIRTHDAY, three sociopathic 10 year olds murder the town sheriff, their school-teacher (Susan Strasberg), and a slew of naked teens! I particularly enjoyed Timmy (K.C. Martel), the one kid who the terrible trio cannot seem to kill! They lock him in an old refrigerator- He escapes! They try to shoot him (twice)- He is saved! Admittedly, I was expecting something else when I started watching "Bloody Birthday", but this is a real stinker of a movie folks! One can't help but see the parallels with this movie and other children killer flicks like "Village of the Damned" and "Children of the Damned", both of which I did not care for, but the evil children concept is what these movies are all about...sorry, this kind of film just doesn't do it for me. OK, great film. Spooky, funny, sexy. The image quality not mind-blowing on this release, but hey, I'll take what I can get. It's been too long a wait for this. VCI needs to do more releases like this.
Someone said this is full-screen, and not anamorphic... but it actually is. Watched it on my friend's widescreen 16x9 TV, and it looked fine.
If you love this film, buy this DVD.
