Description:
It's the Adventure of a Lifetime...If They Make It Back Alive!

Brace yourself for action, excitement and edge-of-your-seat suspense, as four teens struggle to save themselves from extinction in a mysterious land of prehistoric predators! T-Rexes, Raptors, Pterodactyls and more - they're all hungry for adventure...on Dinosaur Island! It sounded simple enough: The hot new reality show 'Wild World' would fly teenagers Leo, Margaret, Jackie and Alex to a remote area of the Amazon where they would battle the elements - and each other - to become the ultimate survivor and claim a million-dollar prize. No problem...until their jet crashes in an uncharted land, forcing the teens to devise a new set of rules: Team up...or become an afternoon snack for a stampede of roaring reptiles!

Amazon.com:
The animated Dinosaur Island cleverly turns a television trend inside out with the story of four teens sent to the Amazon to compete in a Survivor-like reality TV series, but forced to cooperate when they encounter dinosaurs and prehistoric, proto-humans. After their jet crashes in an unexplored region of the enormous forest, the kids soon discover a large pocket of arrested (evolutionary) development. Chased by Pterodactyls, preyed upon by Raptors, and threatened by at least one angry Stegosaurus mom (after an effort to dine upon one of her eggs), the adolescent heroes begin to live by their wits without the benefits of televised celebrity. The script isn't pure sci-fi hype: At least one of the characters offers some educational touchstones about the great lizards as well as ancient stages of human development. Mostly, however, this is just a fun family movie. --Tom Keogh

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Loved it!
I really liked watching this film with my kids. The story is well written, even though the production value is a little lacking. I do recommend it, but don't expect Pixar quality.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - PATHETIC!!! Just Pathetic!
This is an awful movie with completely innacurate dinosaurs. The T.rexes are too skinny, the "raptors" look like they are 10 feet tall (real ones were short- besides, their real scientific name is dromaeosaur), and the worst of all- pterodactyls! I do not like the names Brontosaurus (it's really Apatosaurus- don't let your kids call 'em brontosaurs) and Pteradactyl. They're really Pteranodons, and their wings look wrong! They were smooth and curved, not wiggly like bats as shown in the movie. And ... Read More
