Editorial Review:
Description: Power up with six incredible teens who out-maneuver and defeat evil everywhere as the Mighty Morphin Power Ranger, But this time the Power Rangers may have met their match, when they face off with the most sinister monster the galaxy has ever seen.
Amazon.com: They skydive, they kickbox, they travel through space. Is there anything these crayon-colored teens can't do? The answer seems a resounding 'no,' until some construction workers unwittingly open a manhole cover and loose Ivan Ooze upon Angel Grove. Although incarcerated in his egglike tomb for 6,000 years, Ooze gets right to work at that world domination thing. First up: Strip those eager teens of their morphin uniforms and associated powers and send their leader Zordon to his crystalline deathbed. There's nothing to do but head for a distant planet to meet up with a bikini-clad warrior babe who imparts ancient wisdom and power. Meanwhile, Ooze has been turning parents into zombies who craft giant metallic insects--all the better to take over the world with. This 90-minute film features some cast changes from the Fox television series, as well as better special effects and extended fight scenes, which account for the PG rating. Parents must weigh in for themselves on the famous violent-influence-or-not question. Although, like anything else, what seemed violent in 1995 may seem a bit tame today. Ages 5 and up. --Kimberly Heinrichs

Rating: - I Miss My Childhood
Now like most kids, I loved the Power Rangers, I loved the intense martial arts fights and the general good feeling of good always winning over evil. Today I can still look back on past episodes not with general nostalgia, but as a viewer of today and call it childish but I can still say the Mighty Morphin was the best rangers generation. Although you generally knew that the Rangers would always win out against the bad guy, it was always made in a way in which would have you thinking "well maybe ... Read More

As a child, I loved the original Power Rangers! Now that I'm out of high school, I still miss the original series. The movie was/is awesome! Ivan Ooze has escaped and Lord Zedd needs his help to stop the Rangers for good. When Ooze wants to control the world and destroys the Command Center and almost kills Zordon, the Rangers have lost their power and travel to another planet to find the Great Power. After they retrieve the power, they go back to earth to stop Ivan Ooze. The special effects are awesome ... Read More

Rating: - Power Rangers - The Movie
I purchased this movie for my grandson's 3rd birthday. He loves it and wants to watch it all the time. He imitates the kung fu moves, which is better than a lot of the violence you see in movies, even ones geared for the younger crowd.
The humor is hokey, but considering the target audience it is fine. There is enough goo, special effects and colorful costumes to please a young group, boys and girls.
I watched it myself 4 times in one rainy afternoon with my grandson, Nathan, ... Read More
