In the wonderfully entertaining Freaky Friday, teenager Anna (Lindsay Lohan) and her forty-something psychiatrist mom Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis) have sunk into a rut of frustrated bickering--until a magic spell causes them to switch bodies. Suddenly Tess finds herself faced with petty teachers, vicious rivals, and a hunky boy, while Anna has to cope with her mother's neurotic patients as well as her befuddled fiance (Mark Harmon), who doesn't understand why his bride-to-be is suddenly recoiling from his embrace on the eve of their wedding. Both Lohan and Curtis turn in deft, delightful performances, with Curtis showing a surprising flair for physical comedy. The movie even manages to explore serious issues about fractured families, new parents, and adolescent sexuality with honesty and empathy--and without making the story stop dead in its tracks. It's a mother-daughter film that fathers and sons can enjoy just as much. --Bret Fetzer

I liked this movie and Jamie Lee is great. I do not prefer it over the old version of the movie but my teenage daughter does of course!! There are some similarities to the old movie but not many. It is funny and pretty clean.

Ok, of course I have to like this movie a little for me to be over 20 and bought this movie. I thought it was really good...even better than the original. The movie came in a timely fashion and it was in GREAT condition!! Like new! I was impressed! So, five stars!! Thanks!! Oh and the price was really nice!

I waited for a long time for it's DVD's release and then i finally i saw it yesterday. And the movie is as good as i thought. I haven't seen the old FREAKY FRIDAY so i don't know how much the movies are alike except for the name. But i must say that the movie contains some shadows of "THE HOT CHICK". This movie covers two main characters Tess (Curtis) and Annabel (Lindsay Lohan). Rating: - An Awesome Remake!!!
To me, Disney's 2003 version of Freaky Friday is a lot better than the original. I don't hate the original, I just think this one is a lot funnier and more up-to-date! Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan were hilarious trying to be the opposite of each other. After having a big fight with each other on Thursday, Anna (Lohan) and Tess (Curtis) switch bodies on Friday morning, and throughout the entire day, you see hilarious moments as Tess acts like a rebelious teenager and Anna acts more mature. This is a good story for the pre-teen or teenager to understand what a Mom goes through trying to do the best job possible of being a parent.
