Editorial Review:
Description: In a Chicago jail cell, clever and charming Ellena Roberts recounts for attorney Sara Miller the details of a one-night stand that led to a heated love affair with prominent surgeon David Stillman. David's version of the facts differs entirely and he insists that he never slept with Ellena. Sure that the doctor is the one who's lying, Sara is preparing to defend her client in court when some disturbing facts emerge.
Amazon.com: Fatal Attraction meets A Beautiful Mind in this fact-based Lifetime thriller. Jenna Elfman (Dharma and Greg) is sexually confident medical writer Ellena Roberts. Shortly after we meet her, she is arrested. While in jail, she meets with sympathetic defense attorney Sara Miller (Kate Burton) and recounts her side of the story. It seems she had a relationship with married surgeon David Stillman (Sam Robards), but he broke it off. She didn't want things to end and continued to write, to call, etc. She didn't make any threats, but nor would she give it a rest, so he called the cops. The case goes to court and David claims he knew Ellena professionally, but that they never had a relationship. By the end, we have a pretty good idea as to what really happened. That's because one person is sane--and therefore credible--while the other is not. --Kathleen C. Fennessy

Rating: - A guilty pleasure, but a pleasure all the same
OK, it's a bit cheesy - it's Lifetime, for God's sake. But I just love this film, about a woman who may or may not be the jilted ex-lover of a prominent (and married) surgeon, who denies having had any relationship with her. Every time I watch it, I see some little insight into the character of the obsessed woman Ellena Roberts (played well enough by Jenna Elfman, though personally I would have liked to see Mira Sorvino).
The more I see it, the more well-written I realize it was.

Rating: - Obsessed Jenna Elfman
Does anyone know the name of the song at the very begininnig of the movie when she is taking a shower?
Rating: - Not one of the best, like the last reviewer said...
I like almost all of Lifetime's movies and love tuning in to watch but this was certainly not one of the best. The name bring "obsessed" was not what it should have been called, the lady was dreaming and had an illness. This movie had a horrible twist which made the ending bad and hard to follow and understand the whole way through, this movie was not what I had expected. As I said I like almost all of Lifetime Original Movies but I definitely wan't be watching this one again.
Rating: - For all Lifetime Fans
Obsessed is a nice movie for a nice evening. Its mainly he-said/she-said movie because it's taken from a true trial case. And like all movies that fit into this class, director has put an extra effort to make the judgment (in real case) look like as if it is truth.
Shouldn't we say 'Based on true trial case' rather than 'Based on true story' because nobody knows the truth except Ellaina and Doctor Stillman themselves. Judgment of court is based on facts and everybody who has seen a real ... Read More
