Rating: - Service review + brief abt film
No problems whatsoever. Arrived promptly and in perfect condition. As for the actual film, it's part of what inspired Terminator and the Matrix series, being one of the first to examine the theme of an A.I we create taking over. The other film of note in this regard, again pre-terminator, is Demonseed.
Rating: - Long before the recent "Greenin o' America" mentality hit our
brainwaves, back in the old days, the late 60's early seventy's, we had "Earth Day" this movie is an off shoot of that. The "eco" people were still wearing "earth shoes" and dressing in overalls. Now they are more fashionable and wearing "Prada". Anyway, the movie wasn't all that bad, but very slow and I never did like Bruce Dern. Rating: - Great movie - ok dvd
I love this movie from my shildhood past.
It was a suspense movie that got me to love Artifical Intelligence (AI) and go into computer programming as a career.
For a kid, this movie would scare me at times, but nothing more than the witch in the Wizard of Oz did.
I wish the DVD was of better quailty. Good enough to own.
Rating: - Ron Howard and Brian Grazer rumoured to remake Colossus
Looking forward to seeing it if it does happen. I still do not understand why this is in full screen? As someone else pointed out, a widescreen version will be released in the UK in may. Why no US release? It is an American title and has many fans here who would love to see it in its original aspect ratio.
If it isn't released here on DVD I hope they will make the effort to release it on Blu-ray.
Rating: - Colossus - still a vision of the future
Released in 1970, this an excellent motion picture still rings true today. Freedom is an illusion.
