The original short UPA theatrical release Magoo cartoons, from 1949-1960, were brilliant. Two of them won Academy Awards. Unfortunately they don't seem to be currently available in a DVD format. This collection of Magoo cartoons is from the 1960's television show, and all suffer from inferior animation, boring plots and pointless side-kicks. If you love the old classic Mr.Magoo and wish you could find more of him, this product is fantastic. It includes all of the cartoons that were originally aired on the tv show. It does not contain any of his full length animated films which are hard to find. Mr. Magoo is hilarious and a great comedic cartoon for the young and old.

I grew up in the 70's watching "whats new Mr. Magoo" and had no idea of
this 1960's saturday morning show. In 1984, my older brother had rented
VHS Mr. Magoo classic shorts from the 1940's through the 1950's. They
were truly the best. I was hoping that this box set from the 60,s would
have some of these shorts at least as bonus video to show how Magoo

If you are buying Mr. Magoo DVD set, you buy it because you loved it as a kid. It's a classic cartoon. In this "politically correct" age, someone thought it would be better to "edit" part of it, stealing Charlie's Chinese heritage, changing his accent, probably changing what he says altogether.

Rating:  - Great for all ages / better than anything made today
This is the third set I have bought. This one was for us. The first was for my nieces husband and he loves it. The world needs to get back to what is actually fun! Shipment was quick and I have nothing to say but positive on ordering and shipping.
