Editorial Review:
Description: Detective Raymond Pope is a detective of questionable morals, searching for his missing wife. His investigation leads him to the wealthy estate of the enigmatic Elizabeth Kane and her young maid Irina. Under Elizabeth's fascinating looks and aristocratic manners hides a terrifying secret, shared by her companion Irina. Irina believes that her mistress is a supernatural being, perhaps the real-life 16th Century Blood Countess Elizabeth Bathory, who bathed in the blood of over 650 women in a misguided quest for eternal life. As Detective Pope finds himself perversely drawn to the powerful Elizabeth, bodies begin to surface, his inquiries only deepening the mystery surrounding Elizabeth's past. Pope's obsession grows so intense that he completely fails to anticipate Elizabeth's reaction to his intrusion into her dark world, a fatal mistake that might cost him his life and the lives of those close to him.

The movie wasn't bad, it was actually pretty good. The only problem for me was that for some reason the way the disk was formated made the movie very un-enjoyable to watch. The resolution was bad, and it frequently would pause during a scene, which happend through-out the whole movie.
Rating: - Vampiric Lesbians, soft Pron, Kink, and...a story line
Unlike some Vampire films, especially those focused upon Vampiric Lesbians, this movie actually has a story line. Everyone in the film has ulterior motives and their own psychological issues (worked out sexually).
Originally, I rented this movie, because it looked "iffy," but I decided to purchase the film after viewing it once. This is a dark movie, and the characters play out dark fantasies. Definitely not a Vampire flick for the kids to watch. In fact, I bought it mostly because ... Read More
Rating: - Lustful, yet artistic with clever use of mistery.
I was searching some video about the actual countess Bathory. This was the closest I could find in Amazon. I may say it was not what I expected, but putting aside my search, this is what I found: A very lustful story, about a modern countess Bathory. Please don't relate the original with the movie, it won't work. Still, the movie is quite good. The story is very straightforward, though very clever points of mistery add some good ingredients for the movie. Lustful without becoming porn. Very artistic ... Read More
Rating: - Countess Blood is alive...
and living in Montreal, Canada. Poor thing. She's over 400 years old but still looks good for an old broad. She drinks and bathes in the blood of hot, young chicks to keep herself beautiful. Weird, but fun movie.
Rating: - Some great original scenes
This movie is a new take on vampirism. The beginning of the movie states it is based on fact. I'm sure those 'facts' are the legen behind the 'Countess Dracula' or Elizabeth Bathory. She supposed killed more than 500 females in order to bathe in their blood for eternal youth.
This movie gives us a plot in the present day where a detective tries to track down his wife who is missing after an encounter with the present day countess. It never divulges what happened to her except to infer that she ... Read More
