Editorial Review:

Product Description:
This fourth installment of the series takes place ten years after the original and finds the man in the William Shatner mask in a coma and being transferred from Richmond Mental Institute to Smith's Grove. However the van gets into a horrible accident skidding off the road and exploding. Predictably Myers' body is nowhere to be found in the wreckage alarming both the skeptical police and the indefatigable Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence). Soon Myers is spotted back in Haddonfield and it becomes obvious that his next target is his young niece Jamie (Danielle Harris). His return has whipped the town into a frenzied mob which proves to be unfortunate for the Halloween revelers who have chosen the popular 'Michael Myers' mask as their costume. Often considered the best of the sequels THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS is a return to form for the series after the debacle of HALLOWEEN 3.Format: DVD MOVIE Genre: HORROR Rating: R UPC: 013131328899 Manufacturer No: DV13288

Amazon.com:
'You can't kill the bogeyman,' the children insist to a terrorized Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) in the original Halloween. How right they are. Laurie is gone, but guess who's back in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers? Acting as if the third entry never existed, this installment picks up 10 years after the original, with mad maniac Myers in a coma and moved to a new facility. But wouldn't you know it that as soon as a loose-lipped orderly lets slip that Myers has a surviving niece he springs back into action, leaving a bloody trail of corpses on the road to Haddonfield. Donald Pleasance returns as Dr. Loomis, scarred and crippled from his last encounter with Myers and seething with a fanatical zeal to stop the freak from repeating his previous rampage. Pleasance is the best thing about the film as an aging hero seemingly on the verge of madness who drags a bum leg in his manic rush to save little orphan Jamie (Danielle Harris), the 10-year-old waif terrorized by her homicidal uncle. Director Dwight Little has managed a generic if professional slasher picture, rife with improbabilities and dominated by a killer whose superhuman powers reach near-mystical dimensions, but he delivers the goods: shocks, stabs, and cold, cruel killings. --Sean Axmaker

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - It was ok
Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers is an okay sequel but nothing special. Michael Myers sister has died and now he's after Jamie played great by Dainelle Harris. Dwight H. Little has crafted a film with good camera work but the scares are little & few and the ending is choppy.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Crap
The Halloween series should've ended with Halloween III. The fourth in the series opens the door to make lots of cash for the creators and do absoultely nothing for the art of film making. Michael Myers died at the end of Halloween II after being shot in the eyes by Laurie, blinding him permanately yet he still manages to go on a killing spree and murder a dozen people. Made with no talent or imagination. John Carpenter and Debra Hill got out while the going was good. They had brains, unlike the ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Welcome home Michael.
After the insulting part 3, Hollyweird wised up and brought Michael back.
This was good and bad, good to have Michael back, bad because like part 2 it continues to veer further and further away from Carpenter's original vision.
Bloody, gory, a somewhat interesting story line.
I have a hard time recommending this to anyone but the most diehard Halloween fans.
If your curious though, give it a shot, you might like it better than I did.
But I though the series should have ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The best of the series
To me Halloween four was the best of the series. What a way to reinvigorate the franchise. I watched this after recently seeing the remade Halloween, and have to say. This one is still the best.

The suspense is great as you watch Jamie try to escape from Michael Myers. Donald Pleaseance returns in his role as a driven Dr. Loomis.

I broughbt the Divimax to help comlete my collection of Halloween films, and was pleasantly surprised by the picture and sound quality. It was ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Collectables
The spooky atmosphere makes these films. I recommend this Film to anyone. My favourite movies are pts 1-5. Pt 1 - 3 brings me back to my youth and the DVD transfers are fine, if you are after something intelligent, this is not for you, for the films are a fun and entertaining session of good-looking horny teens getting slashed. Not great but what the hell its all popcorn stuff anyway. If anyone is interested in Halloween collectables, email taylor5821@hotmail.com
