Product Description: Follows the adventures of Scrooge McDuck, and his nephews Huey, Dewey & Louie. Genre: Television Rating: NR Release Date: 14-NOV-2006 Media Type: DVD
Amazon.com: Scrooge McDuck may be a spendthrift who's devoted to the pursuit of riches, but it turns out that he's also an adventurous, worldly duck who can occasionally be almost compassionate when it comes to his family. In the five-episode pilot 'Treasure of the Golden Suns,' Donald Duck enlists in the Navy and puts his three nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie in the care of the miserly Uncle Scrooge. Scrooge and his nephews balk at the arrangement, but the nephews soon earn their Uncle's grudging respect when they help retrieve an antique wooden boat that's stolen from Scrooge's museum. The wooden boat leads Scrooge and the boys to the deserts of South America and the ice floes of Antarctica in search of a treasure bigger than even Scrooge can imagine. Thus begins the 1987 adventure series in which Scrooge and his nephews travel the globe, from the Wild West to Texas to ancient archeological sites around the world, in search of ever-increasing wealth. Villains like El Capitan, Magica De Spell and the Beagle Boys, rivals like Flinthead Glomgold and J.R. Mooing, and allies like Launchpad McQuack, Governess Beakley and her granddaughter Webbigail figure prominently throughout the ducks' nineteen adventures. Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, and Louie grow and mature as a result of their adventures, realizing time and again that friendship is the most valuable treasure of all. (Ages 5 and older) --Tami Horiuchi

Rating: - Ducktales is a blast from the past
Anybody who grew up in the 80's knows Ducktales. It was one of the first cartoons made during a Disney creative rennisance. Before Ducktales you had the Wuzzles (anybody remember them?), and Gummi Bears, but DuckTales is really the face of the movement. And it truly is genius.
I truly love everything about the show. From the characters (My favorite is Launchpad). The adventure of the stories still keeps my attention.
I am so glad that Disney has the sense to release ... Read More
Rating: - Conveniente
Rating: - Simply great!!!
Yeah, at least they brought out the actual first episode now. Get ity watch it love it. Ducktales.
Rating: - Great show!!!
It's great to see Ducktales finally on dvd. All the episodes were not just great for kids but also funny and enjoyable for adults. If you're buying this set for extras though you're going to be very disappointed. This is just the episodes. There's not even animated menus. It's just a static picture with your standard menu buttons and background music. Regardless though, this is a must have.
Rating: - Another hit
My daughter loves these. They are creative, original, and still true to the world of Scrooge McDuck and the Beagle Boys. I have watched some of them with my daughter and even I enjoy them.
The second season is just as good as the first and I am looking forward to getting my daughter season three.
