Synopsis: As Raj, (Salman Khan), a lonely orphan boy who arrives in Mumbai from Goa to fulfil his dreams of becoming a top singer. As he achieves his dreams after a long struggle and frustration he realizes that his long awaited dream has nothing but a dark end, until destiny takes a new turn. Raj saves a beautiful girl Pooja (Rani Mukherjee) gallantly from a deadly accident, since Pooja is in a coma due to shock, her hilariously humble, rich and loving family mistakes Raj for her husband whom they were expecting to meet soon. The mix-ups escalate as Raj fabricates a life between himself and a girl he has never met in order to escape this predicament. Rating: - Bollywood 'While You Were Sleeping'
I bought this movie because I love Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta. My two favorite Bollywood actresses.
I'm not really a fan of Salman Khan, and this movie didn't really help. The character was supposed to be a fun happy go lucky guy who just wants to be a star, but he came off as manipulative and annoying. He would lie, cheat, and steal to get to fame, and that's exactly what he did. But he did it in such a way where the audience was supposed to be on his side, when really I just couldn't ... Read More
Rating: - "While You Were Sleeping" -- The Hindi Version
OK I haven't actually seen this film yet, and will do a real review after I do. But from the synopsis, this film is apparently a complete plot remake of "While You Were Sleeping," a fabulous romantic comedy with Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman. It's going to be tough to beat the original. Salman Khan's not my favorite actor but I like Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta so I'm giving this 3 stars on approval. :)
