Amazon.com:
The only remaining evidence that Sylvester Stallone might have had a respectable career, this 1976 Oscar® winner (for Best Picture, Director, and Editing) is still the quintessential ode to an underdog and one of the best boxing movies ever made. After writing the script about a two-bit boxer who gets a 'million-to-one shot' against the world heavyweight champion, Stallone insisted that he star in the title role, and his equally unknown status helped to catapult him (and this rousing film) to overnight success. The story is familiar, but it's handled with such vitality and emotional honesty that you can't help but leap and cheer for Rocky Balboa, the chump-turned-champ who stuns the boxing world with the support of his timid girlfriend Adrian (Talia Shire) and grizzled trainer Gus (Burgess Meredith). Oscar nominations went to all the lead actors (including Burt Young as Adrian's hot-tempered brother), but four sequels could never top the universal appeal of this low-budget crowd pleaser. --Jeff Shannon

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Rocky
Good picture. How can you make Rocky bad? Probably should have waited for the box set, but good movie.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME
Rocky has got to be my favorite movie of all time. A true inspirational story and a very well written screen play by Sylvester Stallone. Totally recommended.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Are you kidding me????
I bought this because of the fact that the DVD cover said " Nominated for 10 acadamy awards!" This movie is aweful! 1 star is giving it too much credit. I love Sly Stallone but his acting was too painful to watch. I went to bed after suffering through the first hour. My wife informed me that it didn't get any better. If this movie were to be released in this day and age, it wouldn't have a chance!

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Blu Letdown - What was the studio Thinking
How could they NOT include extras or an extra disc in a $30 Blu Ray release?

There's a 30 minute interview with Stallone on the DVD version that is one of the best extras I've ever seen included in a film. Why they would leave that out is beyond me.

Listen up, studio execs - give the customer what he expects, especially for an item priced at a premium.

Excellent product, very pleased. Overnight shipping was a bit shakey. The item was delivered to the wrong house. It seems that some of the drivers do not pay attention to detail, such as Road and Drive. If I wasn't watching the online shipping status I would still be waiting for the item to arrive.
