The jacket of this DVD is very misleading. Its picture of a girl's purple, disembodied head against the background of a father's anguished figure - suggests a serial killer, or at the very least, a chilling series of abductions. The movie actually deals with neither.
"Disappeared" is in reality just a sort of flat following of a father's quest through the back alleys of Istanbul as he attempts to locate his daughter. There is the possibility that she has been diverted into the hellishness ... Read More

Can't believe I'm the first to review this flick. I usually rely on other's reviews before purchasing a movie but we happen to catch the trailer for this one. We were not disappointed at all.
My wife and I thought this was an excellent English film. Acting was superb and the drama brings you in and keeps you there. Having a young daughter myself, I wanted to reach into the TV and extract the truth out of some of these ... Read More
