Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Far away from home, in the small town of Pine Valley, Sarah Landon (newcomer Rissa Walters) finds herself all alone, staying in the guest house of her late friend's grandmother. When she promised to visit, she didn't realize she wouldn't be staying in the main house, and she didn't realize that the guest house was haunted. Or at least it seems that way with all the strange things that are going on in there. But that soon becomes the least of the 17-year-old's worries. When she learns of the town's dark secret, she finds herself in the middle of a haunting mystery that involves two brothers, the local psychic, and an evil spirit. The big question soon becomes, what will happen between midnight and 1 A.M.?

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - This has become one of my favorites!
I have to strongly disagree with the other reviews. I liked the small town setting, the characters, and thought that the houses were interesting. I thought the story was good, scary, and provided a lot of "boo" moments. I was impressed that there was not a lot of bad language, nudity, and gore. I wish more horror films were clean. Just a good ghost story is enough for me. I'd say this film is like an adult version of a Goosebumps movie. The ending seemed to suggest a part two or perhaps a series ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Spook movie for the tween set
"Sarah Landon & the Paranormal Hour" is a little Indie spook flick that just doesn't deliver, well, not for adult audiences anyway. The story centers around Sarah Landon [Rissa Walters] who goes to Pine Valley, a small town in order to visit with the grandmother [Jane Harris] of a best friend that recently died. She soon finds out that there is a curse on the Baker family - David [Brian Comrie] is supposed to die on his 21st birthday and his executioner is supposed to be his uncle's evil ghost. ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Enjoyed it
I enjoyed it. It is a spooky film refreshingly without the obligatory monsters and blood fest.

The story unfolds in a sleepy California small town when a teenage visitor comes to visit an old grandmotherly acquaintance. The rest is all about a curse, reincarnation and of course, the ultimate triumph over evil. This is pretty much the only choice if you want to enjoy a somewhat spooky and contemporary film with the whole family.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - DEFINITELY one of the worst movies ever made!
This movie is so bad I absolutely LOVED it! But then I'm a big Mystery Science Theater 3000 fan. Oh when I think of what they could have done with this movie!!!! The acting is the worst, the plot makes no sense, they filmed it in someone's backyard, and they have WAY too many shots of toilets for some reason. You gotta wonder when a "scary" movie is rated PG.

On the plus side it's one of the funniest (unintentionally) movies I've seen in awhile. You'll spend many minutes wondering ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Possibly one of the worst movies ever
If I could give this movie negative stars I would. At first it just seemed like a college film project gone wrong, but it quickly degenerated into something a middle school student would be embarrassed to have made.
