Description:
Healing the Planet requires a change in how we look at the world and our interaction with it. ThirdPlanet is dedicated to creating emotional experiences that go beyond intellectual understanding of the natural world, taking us on a journey to feel and truly understand nature's beauty, power and the importance it plays in our lives. Living Temples tells the story of the dramatic Southwest landscape which endures extreme circumstances yet re-emerges richer and more beautiful for the journey. This unique film draws parallels to our own journey as we grapple with a sense of transformation, spirituality and what is truly sacred.

Featuring the combined talents of Emmy winning director Jan Nickman, Grammy nominated composer David Lanz, Academy Award winner Linda Hunt and world-renowned flautist Gary Stroutsos, Living Temples is a testament to the beauty and fragility of both the human spirit and the world we live in. Are you ready to make the journey towards a life in balance?

Special features include interviews with the artist and continuous play loop function with or without spoken word audio.

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The cinematography is captivating
As a photographer, I really like the visual celebration of the natural beauty and timeless forms of the Southwest that the dvd Living Temples provides. Great camera work with the contemplative scenes showing the ongoing movement and simple stillness of nature. Images of water in motion, light across ancient rock formations and stars slowly spinning across the sky are like art on the screen. The music track meshes perfectly. Looking forward to seeing this on my friends new large screen.

We have paved it with concrete and punched oil wells through its skin to build our economies. Now we have sensed the errors of our ways, but we remain locked in a quest for a ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Meditative DVD
The images and music on this DVD are soothing and beautiful. The sparse narration (by Linda Hunt) isn't really necessary to enjoy the DVD. Its message - that we're part of the Earth, not its master -- is a good one, and using the images of the southwest and Native American imagery and flute music is evocative of the Older Culture perspectives espoused by Thom Hartmann. Eckhart Tolle fans will notice and appreciate the stillness and ego-less presentation of nature here. So, some good choices on ... Read More
