Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Crime and Drama in Africa!
On our family's list of our all time top 5 dramas. This crime/drama/mystery is set in Africa in the mid-1930's. A Scotland Yard policeman has been sent to Kenya to keep the peace between the rich, snobbish who live amongst and exploit the African inhabitants.

The drama and mysteries are genuine and always involve good plot twists. The unfolding of the mystery is truly superb, and the characters and scenery are excellent.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great mystery series!
First saw this series on public television's Mystery and loved it then. We were very pleased to buy it on DVD, and the set is most economical. The characters are great and well portrayed, with plenty of detection and mysteries going on. A great mystery series with interesting historical information delivered by the host Diana Rigg, at the beginning and end of each episode. Overall all, and excellent series!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great suspense / drama
This is an excellent series. The acting and writing are excellent. Great cast of characters. Those who thrive on "Lethal Weapon" blow-em-ups will be bored, but if you like period pieces along with some cerebral plotlines, this is for you. Trevor Eve is thoroughly believable and Susannah Harker is the kind of woman you'd want to know in 1930's Kenya.
Looks good in a dress and has her own plane.

If only she could cook!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Sexy Trevor Eve!
I watched this series when it was originally televised on PBS. I absolutely fell in love with Trevor Eve and never missed an episode! When watching another British show, several years later, I noticed Trevor Eve and remembered seeing him in "Heat" but could not remember the title. Thank goodness for the Internet. I searched and finally found the title and ordered it on DVD. I watched the entire series over and over. Great story and cast! Diana Rigg's introductions were full of historic information that really brought the story to life. It is my understanding that the show, unfortunately, did not catch on as the producers had hoped and additional episodes were never done as was planned at the start. Too bad. If you like Trevor, check out Waking the Dead. It is the British "CSI" but, much better.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Heat of the Sun is Hot
The DVD "Heat of the Sun" is hot with great acting, writing, directing, screenplays and location. This series is one to watch over and over again. I wish they had made more episodes.
