Rating: - osmond fan
I have recently started collecting old dvd's. I am an avid movie fan especially romantic movies. Seeing this movie and having been a fan of the Osmonds and recently seeing Marie on Dancing with the Stars reminded me of this movie and how much I enjoyed it. I look for it every year hoping that it will show at Christmas time but it never does. I would love to share the warmth and love it made me feel the first time I saw it with my children.
I ordered it and can hardly wait for it to come.
Anyone who truly enjoys an innocent and beautiful love story should include this dvd in their own collection.
Thank you.
Rating: - A nice Christmas story
Long ago I watched this and loved it. I was very young and I guess times changed and the movie now is nice, but a bit corny too. It is a lovely story, but in todays world it would need a lot of polish and better writting. Timothy Bottoms was not as good as you would want him to be. Marie Osmond was surprisingly wonderful. If only she would go back to acting. It makes you wonder what she'd be like today. She was very young making this movie and very good at it.
Rating: - Wonderful Holiday Magic
I have grown up with this movie and agree that this movie is in fact a holiday classic. It's like a fairy tale but played very effectively. This is an instant classic for those who like sweet romance.
Rating: - The true spirit of Christmas
So often we think only of what we can get at Christmas. Here is a couple who think only of each other. What a different world it would be if we all thought that way.
Rating: - The Gift of Love
Great movie! I showed it to my students after reading O. Henry's "The Gift of the Magi". It made for a great lesson on comparison/contrast after reading the story. My students had no clue who Marie Osmond was and were impressed with her singing. One student said, "She sure can sing!" Yes, she certainly can. She is also a delightful actress. It's a great DVD to show right before Christmas vacation.
