Rating:  - Those that rate at 1 or 2 must only watch block busters
This movie was exactly what I would expect for a regular Sci-Fi video, or made for TV or B movie. I'm guessing that all those those who rated this video as 1 or 2 are the type of movie renter who only picks from the new releases or top picks video sections at the rental store.
The CGI was good for a low budget and the sets were good. The acting was OK not great but better than I have seen on some enjoyable Sci-Fi that that I have watched. The movie did just as good at following the book as most block busters. If you are a REAL SCI-FI WATCHER (not a Block Buster only viewer) THAN THIS MOVIE WILL BE WORTH THE TIME.
P.S. I hate the fact that most movie rental places put Sci-Fi together with Horror, can they really not tell the difference???
Rating:  - Good popcorn movie
O.K. The special effects could have been better, but I did not have as much of a problem as many of the negative critics. For one thing, it's SCIENCE FICTION!! Hard to apply 2008 science to it. The acting was O.K. Yeah, nothing special. Did have quite a bit of action to it. Weird creatures?... Watch some of the National Geographic documentaries on deep sea creatures.It did hold my interest, and I am a big fan of Sci-Fi.

I'm a huge sci fi / fantasy fan and I love time travel movies. I'm also really into non-mainstream movies and independent films. I know this movie didn't get very good reviews overall, but for me personally - well, simply, I disagree! It is one of my favorite movies! I highly recommend it, especially if you are into this type of genre.

So bad I Fast-Forwarded a good part of the movie, and then I gave it away to an unsuspected grateful friend. Not worth been specific; where to start?
Rating: - Unexpectedly Exceptional
Wow, can't believe I missed this when it hit the theaters. My sister rented the video and after viewing the movie she called me and said "You've got to see this!" Directed by Peter Hymes (Timecop, End of Days), this film was another leap into time or...rather a leap back into time. It's the future 2055, and someone has found a way to go back in time. Will they use it for the good of mankind. Heck no! As usual big business finds a way to get the big bucks from the rich and then manages to change the present...and not for the good. Scary predators, great special effects and cool characters. It's a great time travel picture that you actually can understand. Don't miss it if your a science fiction and time travel fan.
