This is a story about a young girl, her Father and Grandfather on a ranch that once was known for raising race horses but no longer boards any horses. Kurt Russell and Dakota Fanning do a great job of acting as well as does Kris Kristofferson. I enjoyed watching this movie with my Grandchildren serveral times. Excellent movie.

This is a very upbeat movie for all ages. Great for young people because it has a wonderful story line.

It is very hard to make a horse racing movie and capture the beauty of family. I think that DREAMER:INSPIRED BY A TRYE STORY hit this on the head.
Young Cale just wants to be with her father at his job as a trainer for horses who race and when she goes with him, tragety strikes the track. A beautiful chestnut mare falls and shatters a bone, and her snooty owner wants to let her go, but Cale's father gets mad at the owner and takes the mare and is fired.
A new life is placed in front of Cale as she understands her father better after a chain of unforgettable events.
I thought that this movie would be a flop- after all, no movie that I had ever seen had been able to capture the true magic of horses in racing and the power of family. With a superb cast including the charming Dakota Fanning, good old Kurt Russell, and classic Kris Kritoferson- I didn't spell that right, but who cares?

Rating: - Dreams Come True
This is a great Disney movie. It will bring tears and joy like "Old Yeller" or "Eight Below". Based on a true story it tells of a young girl saving a racing horse from being destroyed from a leg injury and the miraculous recovery that followed. This is a feel good family movie. So if you want something you can show them all, grab this one. Good cast with Kurt Russell, Elizabeth Shue, Kris Kristofferson, and Dakota Fanning. Great quality DVD with extras and above average replayability.
