Rating: - Go Go Buster's
This was the start of the new Ghostbusters they also got suied by the people who did the Ghostbusters television show in the 70's. Three scientist catch ghost for a living the first ghost was slimer the green one in this hotel they shocked it their lazers then slide some device to suck it up. A black guy later on goin's them to do the job. The stay pump marshmellow man gets big walking around in New York.
Rating: - There is something about this movie...
...that makes me feel good inside every time I watch it. The acting is especially appealing -and Murray as "doctor" Peter Venkman is my personal all-time-favorite among characters of comedy. He's just so relaxed, and doesn't let anything bother him, and he doesn't take much serious. This is probably one of my favorite Murray-comedies -in the amazingly effective company of Dan Akroyd and the rest of the cast.
Some of the effects are still stunning today, and those that would have been much more "put to reality" with the technology they use today -well, let's just say that it has its' charm actually -this being that "Ghostbusters" once was a breakthrough for special effects, and in comparasism to other movies of its' time it is easy to see that this was a big-budget movie, and one of such qualities that it is also a really fun story.
One of my favorites from the eighties, I bought this with its' sequel and I watch them over and over again. Highly recommended!
Rating: - Edited.
I've probably watched Ghostbusters fifty or sixty times since I was seven years old. I know the movie word-for-word and scene-for-scene. It's edited, ostensibly for length.
If this bothers you, avoid this disc. If it doesn't, enjoy a classic comedy on the go.
Rating: - Still One of the All Time Greatest
This film has held up for over twenty years and it is still every bit as good as it was in 1984. Bill Murray was in perfect form in one of his greatest performances ever, and the rest of the cast follows the lead and hand in equally good turns in this hilarious fantasy adventure. If you've never seen this you've missed one of the greatest and most enjoyable times at the movies you could ever hope to have, and if you are like me and have loved this movie since it came out, here's to hoping this film continues to inspire the new crop of filmakers into other great films such as the obviously inspired by Ghostbusters Men in Black. A perfect score for this movie no question.
Rating: - Fianlly Something good to watch on my PSP
One of the best movies to hit the 80's is now on the up and comming PSP. Who would have thought that ghostbusters would still be so popular 20 years later. Great movie. If you have a PSP its a must buy! Even if you don't have a PSP get the new double set they just released on DVD. It has both movies and some of the cartoons on it as well.
