Martin Lawrence should be embarrassed. If this piece of garbage parading as a movie was intended for pre-teens, and teens he should be apologizing to parents nationwide. Granted this was a movie, but what kind of message is he sending out there to kids, that first you won't get hurt anytime you jump face first from the top of shelves, a bunk bed, etc... But what really bothered me was the feeding of the tequila to a small dog. In real life, that dog wouldn't be peppy and happy....he would be dead from alcohol poisoning. I guarantee there will be some kid out there trying that out on his poor pooch. Kids get into enough trouble these days, don't give them any ideas! Shame on you Martin!

i watched this last night at a friend's house. i never watched the first one, but watching this is making me get the 1st and 2nd. my pal and i couldn't stop laughing. it was funny! but i did find nia long's acting boring, untalented, and uninspiring; i don't think she's a good comedic actress or knows how to be funny. she doesn't have comedic timing. she probably goes better in dramatic movies. yes, this is not trying to win an oscar, yes, the actors acting are weak and unbelievable (are they supposed to be strong?), and the story line is weak ( for some strange reason i felt like i was watching scary movie; a movie that's parodying something funny), but the jokes are funny, and i honestly think if it wasn't for Martin Lawrence's portrayal of Big Momma this would have been a dud. i gave it 5 stars b/c it mad me laugh out loud so much that it substituted for the movies weak acting and story. the bottom line is i enjoyed it and it was highly entertaining. even the way martin speaks when he's big momma is funny!

You have to love his comedic abilities to bring these characters to life. Lots of laughs and fun with a good deed mixed in for good mesaure.

The price was right - shipping indeed quick and then we put the movie in - laughed till we hurt!!! This is an old fashion just plain clean fun type of humor and we loved it - highly recommend the DVD and the supplier -
