Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good but she has done better
After viewing several of these episodes on this season I realize Angela Lansbury was much better in the beginning seasons of Murder She Wrote. Later episodes tended to drag and get boring and they really misplaced her by taking her out of Cabot Cove. I still love Murder She Wrote but I will watch the beginning seasons more than the later seasons.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Another entertaining season with Jessica Fletcher and some interesting new developments
I have been a faithful fan of Murder She Wrote, and of Angela Lansbury for a couple of decades now. Every season offers a wonderful collection of interesting plots, credible acting by the cast and interesting choice of locales, be it in Cabot Cove, Maine [J.B. Fletcher's hometown] or other places. In Season 8, Ms Fletcher makes a move to New York, where she feels she will be better able to stay in touch with her publisher, as well as teach a class in criminology to college students. This is also the season where Ms Fletcher finally gives in to the superiority [or should I say the convenience] of modern technology and gets a personal computer to help her in getting her writing done.

The stories remain fresh - one of the strengths of this series. Though it seems remarkable that Ms Fletcher's character always seems to be unwittingly embroiled in murders, espionage, etc - Ms Lansbury's amazing screen presence and credible acting make it all believable. There are some recurring co-stars as well - Dr Seth Hazlitt, Sheriff Mort Metzger, and even MI6 agent Michael Haggerty. The guest stars also add a lot to enhance the storylines - such as David Soul [of Starsky and Hutch fame], the guy who played Highlander etc.

All in all, I love all the seasons of MSW, and Season 8 is as enjoyable as the previous seasons. It is fun, entertaining, and intriguing. Hope to see Season 9 out on DVD soon. All hail J.B. Fletcher!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - MURDER SHE WROTE: SEASON EIGHT
ALL THE SEASONS OFFER A LIGHT WAY TO SPEND SOME TIME. USUALLY NOTHING BUT MYSTERY AND GREAT GAL IN ANGELA LANSBURY,

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Cloak and Dagger
I have enjoyed Murder She Wrote since it began. It's a luxury for me to watch the season whenever I chose and not have to wait a week for the next show(I live in Switzerland). One must not forget that I am a great fan of Angela Lansbury and find she has not let me down. The stories are simple but very entertaining. Her being in New York adds some spice to the show.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - GREAT Series
If you enjoy Jessica, you will love this season. It has a good balance of Cabot Cove as well as New York, her new home. She becomes a teacher, teaching criminology at a university. It adds a great twist to several of her NY murders. There are episodes with old friends from other shows, like Michael the spy. All in all it is a great season with added characters from her NY domicile. My favorite episode from this season is #9. She makes history by being the first female author to stand where Hemingway and Sanburg stood to read at a literary club, for men only. I can't wait for the next season to come out.
